Walk the Windrush

Date: Saturday 22nd April (end of 0th week)

Follow the meanders of the river Windrush to the picturesque ruins of the Minster Lovell Hall, a large 15th century manor house and home of Richard III’s henchman Lord Lovell.

***This walk is likely to be muddy in places, so walking boots/shoes are strongly advised***

Meet: St. Giles Bus Stop, outside Taylorian Institute
Time: 8:45 am
Return: Approx 4 pm
Distance: 16km
Cost: Approx £10 (single bus ticket to Burford, then single back from Witney)

Uffington White Horse

Date: Saturday 29th April (end of week 1)

This walk will provide impressive views of the oldest hill figure in Britain – the dramatic White Horse of Uffington – dating back to 1000BC. You will also get a chance to explore a 5500-year-old chamber tomb and the Uffington Castle where King Arthur is rumoured to have won his greatest victory against the Saxons.
