Beautiful Bath
Saturday 15th September
Visit the Roman city of Bath and enjoy the views from the surrounding hills. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bath has been home to notable figures from all walks of life for over two thousand years, including author Jane Austen and astronomer William Herschel.
This walk takes us out of the city along the River Avon and into the Cotswold Hills. We circle around the city, passing fantastic views over Bath and the Severn Estuary, before returning to the city centre.
The route is likely to be muddy in places so walking boots are strongly advised. No signup or membership is required, simply meet us at the station on the day.
Meet: Oxford Railway Station
Time: 9:15am (for 9:37 train)
Return: Approx 9pm
Distance: 20km (13 miles)
Cost: £13 with railcard/group discount, £19.70 otherwise (Off-Peak Return to Bath Spa)

Please note the late return time. I intend to leave 1-2 hours to visit the city centre after the walk, before a pub meal. Anyone wishing to return to Oxford immediately after the walk should be able to get back by about 6pm, and will not need to bring money for the pub dinner.
