[CANCELLED]*****Down to the River We Walk; Thames Path from Newbridge to Oxford***** [CANCELLED]


Date: Saturday 12th November

The Thames Path is a long distance walking trail, following England’s best known river for 184 miles (294 km) as it meanders from its source in the Cotswolds through several rural counties and on into the heart of London. This week, we will follow the Path from Newbridge back into Oxford. This stretch of the Thames Path is still remote and amazingly rural right until you almost reach the centre of Oxford.

Meet: Gloucester Green Bus Station, Oxford City Centre
Time: 8.40am
Return: By 6pm
Distance: 23km (14 miles)
Cost:  Please bring £10 to cover bus fare and possible drink at a pub on the way back
Lunch: Participants need to bring their own packed lunch

Cholsey to Goring via Wallingford

Date: Saturday 3rd December

This walk starts in Cholsey, follows the Thames Path to Wallingford, and then follows the Ridgeway, before joining the Thames Path again to Goring.

Meet: Oxford Railway Station
Time: 8.45am (train departs at 9.07am)
Return: Approx. 5pm
Distance: Approx. 22km
Cost: £7.40 for return ticket to Goring (cheaper with railcard/group tickets)
Lunch: Participants need to bring their own packed lunch
