Didcot and Wittenham

Saturday 11th January

This week’s local walk will be a circular around Didcot, a small town south of Oxford which was deemed “the most normal town in England” in a study in 2017. Starting in Didcot we will follow the Moor Ditch up to Long Wittenham, and then explore some of the nearby nature reserves including the Neptune Wood. We will then climb the Wittenham Clumps for an excellent view of the surrounding area, including one last look at the Didcot Power Station chimney before it gets demolished next month.

Please note this walk may be muddy in places, so walking boots/shoes are strongly advised.
