Date: Saturday 25th Feb
The Black Mountains is a group of red sandstone hills spread across parts of Powys and Monmouthshire in southeast Wales, and extending across the national border into Herefordshire, England. They are cloaked in grass and heather and laced with rivers. The range has many peaks that are well known to walkers, the highest of which is Waun Fach (811m). It is less crowded than other areas but no less scenic, and with plenty of mountains to choose from! More information and pretty pictures can be found on the trip poster.
As springtime draws near, we will hopefully get some beautiful views of the Welsh scenery. We will also have a decent amount of day time for a good day’s walk.
