Amazing Abingdon
Date: 31/07/16
Cross the Christ Church Meadows and follow the river Thames, slowly winding through the meadows towards London. Pass the formidable ruins of the Benedictine Abingdon Abbey overseeing the river, and complete your journey in Abingdon, St Edmund’s birthplace. The path can be very muddy so do not bring your fanciest shoes. The buses can take us back to Oxford every ~15 minutes or people can stay in Abingdon for some sightseeing, coffee etc.
