Lake District

Date: 4th – 6th November (end of 4th week) The Lake District is the largest National Park in England, and contains its top 10 highest mountains, including Scafell Pike (978m), only a short distance from our accommodation. During the last ice age, glaciers carved out steep valleys which produced the famous landscape of mountains and lakes that exists today. Time: Friday 4th Dec, 4pm from Trinity gates, Broad Street Return: Late Sunday evening Accommodation: The Old Schoolhouse, Boot, Eskdale Cost: £66 Food: Bring money for 2 pub meals (for Friday and Sunday).
