Date: 30th January (end 2nd week)
Visit the countryside known from the illustration to the Wind in the Willows. Start in Pangbourne, the former home to Kenneth Grahame, enjoy one of the most dramatic sections of the river Thames and in the end of the day visit the tomb of Agatha Christie in Cholsey.
Date: 23rd January (end 1st week)
This walk explores the beautiful village of Cookham and its surrounding woodland, before following the Thames Path to Maidenhead. There will be some great views of the Thames Valley early on in the walk. If people are interested, we will also be able to take a slight detour to see Kenneth Grahame’s (author of Wind in the Willows) old house, which is now a prep school.
Please note: Walking shoes/boots are essential for this walk as it will be muddy in places!
