Saturday 25th February
***Walk is likely to be muddy in places. Walking shoes/boots are STRONGLY ADVISED***
We follow the Thames as far as Sandford Lock and then go along the outskirts of the city (getting a good view of Oxford United’s football stadium). We press on to Garsington, before entering the pretty village of Horspath (where we will probably stop for lunch). After this, will shall enter Shotover Country Park. A steep (but rewarding) hill through the woodland will bring us out onto Shotover Plain. We will carry on along Shotover Plain, passing by the beautiful grounds of Shotover House, before finishing our walk in Wheatley village, where there will be the option of visiting a pub or going straight back to Oxford.
