Date: Saturday 7th May (end 2nd week)
A Saturday stroll fit for a King (or Queen as the case may be). A walk in Windsor Park, part of the Crown Estate and generously open to the public during daylight hours. This walk will take you past Royal Holloway University, Virginia Water Lake, The Valley Gardens, The Deer Park where you will see sights such as the Copper Horse at the end of the Long Walk and get a fine view of Windsor Castle, and ending with Obelisk Pond and a glimpse of the Guards Polo Club. Who knows, you might even spot a couple of Royals as well.
*For those who wish there would be the option of breaking away from the rest of the walk and going to Windsor to spend some time there rather than doing the whole circuit and returning to Egham. If you wish to do this the please sort out your own travel arrangements to get back as it makes train tickets more expensive.
