Welcome to Michaelmas Term with OUWC!
We are looking forward to a slightly unusual but nevertheless exciting term, packed with trips and local walks! To find out more about this term’s trips and meet the trip organisers, join our mailing list and stay tuned for announcements
We also run weekly local walks to the scenic countryside of the Cotswolds, Chilterns and Thame Valley. We use public transport for local walks so no sign up or membership is required, but you will need to sign-up for now. Keep an eye on the weekly mailouts for details!
If you are interested in getting more involved with the club in any way, please do not hesitate to get in touch (president@ouwc.org). We are always looking for enthusiastic people to organise trips and can pair you with more experienced club members to make the process much less daunting. We are also always in need of drivers so if you are aged 21 or over and have had a license for more than two years, please consider driving a minibus for us. We also run regular Mountain Skills and First Aid courses for those interested in leading walks for us. As an added bonus, both leaders and drivers get a guaranteed space on trips for both themselves and a friend.
Finally, please do join our mailing list and Facebook group as this is the easiest way to stay up to date with all the events we run. Our Facebook group can also be used by club members to organise walks and find like-minded people to join them, whether it be local walks during the vacation or something more adventurous such as trekking in Europe or scrambling in North Wales.
