Winchester Circular

Saturday 24th February (end of 6th week)

Explore the historic Roman city of Winchester, famed for its 14th-century college and a cathedral dating back to the 11th century (or earlier). We also walk out onto the South Downs, and take in the panoramic view from St Catherine’s hill, encompassing the city, the Downs and the spectacular Itchen valley.

Please note this walk may be muddy in places, so walking boots/shoes are strongly advised.

Meet: Oxford Railway Station
Time: 9:10 am (for 9:29 train)
Return: Approx 6 pm
Distance: Approx 15km
Cost: Approx £15 with railcard or group ticket (£23 otherwise)
Lunch: Please bring a packed lunch
