Home : Local Walks
All walks use public transport to get to the starting point, so there is no need to book your place in advance - just turn up.
Everyone is very welcome, and you do not need to be a member of the club to come on local walks (although there are other benefits to being a member).
Please read some important information about local walks.
The local walks for Hilary 2011 cover between them the whole of the Oxfordshire Way. See here for a description of the Way, and (lower down that page) links to additional information on points of interest along the Way.
We are always looking for new local walk leaders. If you are interested in leading a walk next term, please contact the Archivist (). We only require that you have been on a local walk in the past. You are free to plan your own route, but the club is also happy to plan one for you to lead.
We would also be grateful for offers to lead walks this term (Hilary 2011). Although the walks all have a leader, walks numbers 4 and 6 both currently involve a leader who is starting a train journey somewhere other than Oxford, and it would be very helpful for these walks to have a leader who is starting from Oxford.
