Wild Camping Trip to Wasdale

12 June - 14 June (end of 7th week)

Area: Lake District
This trip is full

This is a wild camping trip to the Wasdale area of the Lake District. We will be driving down on the Friday afternoon before walking to our first campsite that evening. Each day we will be walking with full packs, i.e. tent, food, stove etc. in our rucksacks, and pitching camp at a different place. The peaks surrounding Wasdale include the highest in England (Scafell Pike) and are a truly spectacular setting to get away from it all for the weekend.

PLEASE NOTE: This trip is NOT a led trip like all of the other trips this term, i.e. there will be no leaders, and everyone is treated as an equal on the trip. Due to the nature of the trip, it is definitely a lot tougher than most other OUWC trips, even those to similar locations. So that the trip can proceed smoothly you MUST be able to undertake the walk that has been planned. If you don't have experience of wild camping with a full pack then please email James so that we can discuss what would be involved (or come to Free Tea and chat in person).
