Home : Local Walks : - The Varsity March
This 23-mile walk from Oxford to Aylesbury, along paths and minor roads, is the first section of a mammoth 81-mile walk from Oxford to Cambridge called the "Varsity March", which a group of people from the Cambridge University Rambling Club do every year.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Cambridge walkers will be setting the pace for this walk and it is expected that everybody will be able to keep up with them. The distance (23 miles) is further than anything we have done on our own local walks, which generally don't go beyond 15 miles/24 km. If you have struggled with our local walks, do give some serious thought as to whether this walk is suitable for you. If you're unsure feel free to contact the trip leader.
