Home : Weekend Trips : - Wild Camping - Rhinogs - Group of Equals
This is a wild camping trip to an area of southern Snowdonia known as the Rhinogs. We will be driving down on the Friday afternoon before walking to our first campsite that evening. Each day we will be walking with full packs, i.e. tent, food, stove etc. in our rucksacks, and pitching camp at a different place. The Rhinogs are a truly beautiful area of Snowdonia, which are very removed, in addition to being rather rocky, perfect for some isolated wild camping.
PLEASE NOTE: this trip is NOT a led trip like all of the other trips this term, i.e. there will be no leaders, and everyone is treated as an equal on the trip. Due to the nature of the trip, it is definitely a lot tougher than most other OUWC trips, even those to similar locations. So that the trip can proceed smoothly you MUST be able to undertake the walk that has been planned. Once you have signed up PLEASE email (james.neuhaus@merton.ox.ac.uk) so that I can double check if you are capable for the trip, as to have one person who is incapable would ruin the trip for everyone on the trip.
