Hadrian’s Wall and Northumberland Coast LONG Weekend Trip

21 to 24 June (end 9th week)

Area: Northumberland

At the end of 9th week, we will be making a long awaited return (7 years!) to the relatively little visited north-east county of Northumbria. We will be staying at Annstead Farm in Seahouses, very close to the north Northumberland coastline. This is the most remote and least populated area in England and Wales with an open and rugged landscape, steeped in history. The plan is to spend one or two days walking in that area; possibilities include the coastline and over to Holy Island (subject to tides!). On the last day (or two) we'll head further south and explore a section of Hadrian's Wall before returning to Oxford.
