Scotland LONG trip

26th June – 4th July (end of 9th week)

Area: Scotland
There are still places available on this trip
(Contact the trip organiser for more details)

At the end of 9th week, the club returns to the Highlands of Scotland, in what has become an annual pilgrimage to the home of magnificent mountains and endless daylight. This year we’re going all out with a 9-day trip which will give us 7 days of exhilarating walking in two stunning areas. We will spend the first half of the trip on the Isle of Skye, staying at the Glen Brittle hut on the flanks of the rugged Black Cuillin (grid ref NG412216). For the second half, we will be in the Glen Coe area, in reach of Ben Nevis (the UK’s highest peak), the Mamores, Buachaille Etive Mor and many more Munros! We will stay at the Alex MacIntyre hut in North Ballachulish (grid ref NN044612)

(As you might have guessed, the trip involves mountain walking, with significant ascent most days over rocky and possibly steep terrain.)
