Home : Weekend Trips : - Scotland LONG Trip
The highest mountains in the UK are found in Scotland, but being far from Oxford, are only visited by OUWC on long trips in the summer vacation, so this is an opportunity not to be missed! Where we are staying there are many Munros (mountains over 3000ft), so we should summit a few each day. Nearby is the highest mountain in Southern Scotland, Ben Lawers, reaching a massive 1214m, so this will be a good one to bag! By June the weather will hopefully be sunny and we will be camping by Loch Tay, so there may also be an opportunity for an evening dip.
