Uffington White Horse

Sunday May 27 (Start Week 6)

This walk will provide impressive views of the oldest hill figure in Britain - the dramatic White Horse - and explore the Iron Age hill fort of Uffington Castle where King Arthur is rumoured to have won his greatest victory against the Saxons. The White Horse of Uffington, dating back to 1000BC in the late Bronze Age, is thought to represent a horse goddess connected with the local Belgae tribe.
