The destination of this walk is the 14th century Broughton Castle, a fortified manor house surrounded by a wide moat, and set in idyllic parkland. Called one of the most romantic English castles, it has provided setting for several films including Shakespeare in Love. Starting from Kings Sutton, we will walk 8 km along the Oxford canal path to Broughton. After visiting the castle and its gardens, we will walk 4 km to Banbury and catch the train back to Oxford.
