A circular walk, taking in the Marlborough Downs and Avebury World Heritage Site which comprises a 400m diameter circle of immense standing stones, inner circles plus two further megalithic stone avenues. Avebury's first stones were assembled from about 2800BC, and all the stone avenues and earthworks went up during the ensuing 5 centuries.
