Sherwood Forest BIG Minibus Day-trip

Saturday 5th June (end 6th week)

Legendary home of Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men, the ancient forest of Sherwood provides some of the finest woodland walking in England. Join Marshall Steinbaum and Alex Brearley on the first Walking Club trip here for many years, as they explore the most ancient part of the forest north of Edwinstowe, an area of colossal gnarled oaks, including the 1000-year-old Major Oak, a meeting place of the outlaws. We will also see the remains of King John's hunting lodge at Clipstone. With new spring leaves on the trees, it will be a delightful walk.
