Yorkshire Bank Holiday Trip

23rd - 26th August 2002

Richard Campbell and Laura Harrison will make the most of the August bank Holiday weekend by heading up to Yorkshire. The group will be based in Westerdale camping barn in the North York Moors, and will enjoy two walks in each of Yorkshire's National Parks. The trip is designed to provide scenery in contrast to the Wales Summer Vacation trip. Indeed the walks planned are very varied: a gentle walk around stunning rock formations, a long moorland walk, a pretty river walk and a stunning walk around Malham. If it lives up to the sunny Bank Holiday trip last year then it is certainly one not to miss! Check out the agenda...

FRIDAY: A trip to the eroded stacks of Brimham Rocks in Nidderdale
including the Dancing Bear
SATURDAY: A walk along the Cleveland Way including great moorland views
from Roseberry Topping
SUNDAY: A really gorgeous relaxing walk around the pretty village of
Thornton-le-Dale near Pickering
MONDAY: A visit to the stunning Malham Cove and Goredale Scar waterfall
to round off the long weekend
