Wales Summer Vacation Trip

31st July - 4th August 2002

Join Richard Campbell and Richard Gibbs in a 5-day trip to Wales. Directed at the more capable walker, this trip will consist of 3 long days of mountain walking followed by 2 days of taking it easy by the coast. We will visit 5 different areas of Wales taking in all 3 Welsh National Parks. Although this may seem like a lot of driving, it is not a massive amount more than a trip to Pembrokeshire itself, and there is minimal driving on Thursday and Saturday. It will be a good trip combining challenging walks with a summer holiday at the end. Check out the agenda...

WEDNESDAY: PEN-Y-FAN IN THE BRECON BEACONS NATIONAL PARK
maybe scrambling up Cribyn ridge to start the trip
THURSDAY: PUMLUMON FAWR IN THE PLYNLIMON MOUNTAINS
a mid-Wales peak that the club hasn't been to for years
FRIDAY: CADAIR IDRIS IN SNOWDONIA NATIONAL PARK
by far the most famous of the peaks in southern Snowdonia
SATURDAY: GORGEOUS COASTLINE OF PEMBROKESHIRE NATIONAL PARK
with emphasis on beach and sunglasses
