Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland & Teesdale Trip

24th - 27th August 2001

Northumberland is rarely visited by the club because it's the furthest away National Park in England. So what better opportunity than a long summer trip to discover its beauty? Join Richard Campbell and Alima Ali for 3 days of walking in the north east. Staying adjacent to a pub in Barrasford Camping Barn near Hexham we'll be perfectly placed to walk along parts of Hadrian's Wall on the first day followed by a top night oot Doon Toon in the party captial of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The following day we'll enjoy a moorland walk in the Cheviot Hills and even cross the Scottish border. Boasting the highest waterfall in England, High Force, and a series of rapid called Cauldron's Snout, beautiful Teesdale will be the destination for the final day's walk.
