Dorchester and Wallingford [UPDATED]

24 October (end 2nd week)

Much of this longish walk will follow the Thames downstream of Oxford (the setting for 'Three Men in a Boat'). Starting from Didcot, we will visit Wittenham Clumps, wooded hills giving good views over the Thames Valley, and Dorchester-on-Thames, visiting Dorchester Abbey (free admission). We will then follow the Thames Path via Benson to Wallingford, seeing the remains of Wallingford Castle and the market square, and continue along the Thames before heading to Cholsey station.

For a 19km option, catch a bus from Wallingford to either Cholsey or Didcot (depending on arrival time) to meet the train.

The previously advertised walk from Charlbury to Woodstock has been moved to 28th November.
