X Trip

17th - 19th October (end 1st week)

The X-trip to Snowdonia will be staying at the Gwydyr Mountain Club hut Tan y Garth, it has hot showers, crockery and gas cooking and heating. From this base we will be able to go out into the Snowdonia national park where there are many exciting and interesting scrambling and walking routes. This trip is aimed at all the clubs leaders but most particularly at those who want to lead scrambling in the future or who simply want more experience on broken and exposed terrain. The trip will count as a 'group of equals' trip with no single person taking responsibility as leader and all safety decisions being made collectively. As a result of this no routes have been planed so get looking at those maps and scrambling guides. The hut has 20 places available to us so if any one has a car (or potentially wouldn't mind driving a hire car) please let us know so we can make full use of the accommodation.
