Home : Minibus day-trips : - Salisbury/Stonehenge
Stonehenge is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Till today the mystery of its awe-inspiring construction and past use continues. It is certainly a must-see in your time here in England.
Join us in exploring the Stonehenge landscape and the surrounding rolling countryside which is cared for by the National Trust. Starting at the medieval town of Salisbury, we will walk out to the Old Sarum settlement, passing through farmland before approaching the Stonehenge. Though we will not be entering the site you will still get excellent views of Stonehenge and plenty of opportunities to discover other prehistoric monuments including The Avenue - the original route of the Druids - before finishing off at Amesbury. The walk will be a slightly long (just over 20km) but gentle and surely enjoyable one.
