Home : Weekend Trips : - Exmoor
Exmoor National Park is in Somerset and North Devon (about 3.5 hours
south-west of Oxford), with lovely rolling hills and moorland, as well as
beautiful ancient oak woodlands and valleys, and the stunning rugged
coastline. Exmoor is also famous for wild ponies and deer. Our base is
Mullacott Farm, a converted stable located in an Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty. We plan two fairly long day walks: one exploring the upland of the
national park, and the other a coastal walk. A weekend of varied scenery in
a lovely part of Britain.
The cost includes: accommodation, transport and meals, except for Friday and Sunday evening. We have to leave a bit later than usual (7pm Friday), so best to eat beforehand, though we will stop at a services on the way for a
short break if anyone needs to pick something up to eat. Bring money for
Sunday evening meal which will be in a pub or at services along our
way.
