Home : Weekend Trips : - Yorkshire Dales
Famous for its deep valleys and surrounding high rises, the Yorkshire Dales in northern England is one of the most beautiful areas of the UK. At the end of 3rd week the club will set off to explore this great area. We will be staying in the bunkhouse near the village of Austwick, which gives us easy access to the Dales. There will be opportunities to experience the classic 'Karst' scenery and other geological features. The walking will be on fairly rough moorland, so strong boots and waterproofs are essential, but will not be excessively steep or on scree.
